Link Building - An Open Invitation
August 16, 2005 on 8:59 pm | In 31 Days to a Better Blog, Blogging |Today is the day that I launch my Link Building Campaign.
One aspect of this campaign is to Post an Open Invitation here to exchange links. If you would like to exchange links with me, then continue reading this post.
Here’s is a list of what I am offering.
- A link to your web site which will appear in the Blog Rolls Menu Category on the right hand side of this page. As you can see, I have already added my Blogging Mentors
- A Free and Highly Gracious mention of thanks in my Daily Update Post - With a link to your site (for Free) - at the end of the day that the link is added.
- Another Free and Highly Gracious mention of thanks in the article that I shall be writing at the begriming of September about my 31 Days to a Better Blog Project.
- Errr.. That’s about it. I don’t have much else to offer, apart from some old VB6 books that I don’t need any more.
So go ahead and Contact Me now - and lets Add that Link.
Still here?
Ok, here are some Pros and Cons of linking to me.
First the Cons:
- My Page Rank - or rather, lack of Page Rank - It is currently Zero - Zilch - Zip.
- My Blogging Credentials - That’ll be about 4 weeks then
- My Daily Traffic - Just about averaging 160 per day for the last 2 weeks.
And now for the Pros:
- I’m committed to Blogging about topics which I think are interesting and useful to others - A fledgling Blogger who needs a bit of help with his Link Building Campaign. I even try to make my Posts funny if I can.
- Umm.. I’ll post some more when I think of them.
So there you go - Don’t waste any more time.
Just fill out the form which I have placed conveniently below. I’m afraid I am not clever enough to have filled out the message part with some cheesy direct marketing text - so perhaps you might want to copy and paste what I have written below:
Yes Please… I would be thrilled to be a part of your Link Building Campaign. I look forward to receiving my Linking Details by return email. I understand that I am under no obligation to direct my good traffic to your Web Site and that your linking to me will probably (not) increase my Page Rank.
Kind Regards,
Your Name.
Now fill out the form. Quickly..!

I would love to be a part of your Link Building Campaign. I happen to offer less than what you offer, since my blog traffic is close to nil, and I’m still trying to get this blog, my ‘premier blog,’ enought good content to make it worth while.
If it matters, I found your blog from your recent introduction in the LinkedIn Bloggers Yahoo group, and I immediatly got a lot from your blog. So I can offer kissing up in the hopes I get offering into the Link Building campaign.
Thanks,
-JC Payne
