Day 3 - Roundup

August 3, 2005 on 10:49 pm | In 31 Days to a Better Blog, Blogging |

Today has been pretty busy.

I have set up my Forums. Only one post from visitors so far though :(.
Over the next 27 days I’d like to get the forums set up properly. Please leave a post to give me some advice of what you think I should do. Some things I can think of are:

1. Display the same header in the Forums as in my Blog.
2. Find/make a stylesheet and theme which is more relevant to my Blog.
3. What else??? Please let me know. Why not Go and post now ;) (It’ll only take a minute)

I’ve also sorted something out which has been on my mind for a while now - Adding an icon for my site to the address bar of the Browser. This icon will also show up if you bookmark this site. As is often the case - something which I perceived as dificult, turned out to be incredibly easy!

You can read how easy it was here.

If you look closely to my left navigation bar, you will see that I’ve added links for my Feedburner, Bloglines Subscription and XML/RSS Feeds.

If you look even closer, you will notice that I have 0 subscriptions to my Feedburner

  1. Just a heads up with a common problem we see with FeedBurner users out there. Your autodiscovery tags are still pointing to your original source feed which may or may not be intended depending on whether you are redirecting and/or want to funnel all of your traffic through the FeedBurner feed.

Feel free to stop over at the FeedBurner forums (http://forums.feedburner.com) where there’s a lot of info on how to publicize your feed or just drop me a line directly and I’ll lend a hand.
